Parenting shouldn’t end
when relationships do.

The Loughborough Child Contact Centre is accredited by the National Association of Child Contact Centres to provide supported contact.  This means it is suitable for families where no significant risk to the child or those around the child has been identified but for a variety of possible reasons, families need a neutral, supported meeting place.  Staggered arrival and departure times are set so neither parent has to meet each other when attending the centre.  The contact centre is intended to be a temporary measure to help build confidence and help the family move forward.

The Loughborough centre is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who are impartial and see the children as the most important people in the centre.  It is independent from the courts, social services or any statutory agency

We welcome referrals made through a solicitor, CAFCASS officer, family mediator or social worker. We also accept self-referrals from parents

Feedback from some of our families

‘I want to say thank you for looking after my daughter. The Centre is amazing and she always enjoyed going which was so important.’

Parent

‘Many, many thanks for all the time and effort you volunteers put into keeping the Contact Centre going. Your efforts are appreciated.’
Parent

‘We wanted to thank all the volunteers who make it possible for the Contact Centre to exist in Loughborough. For my son, it was a lifeline to his own son – both of whom love each other very much.’
